Zan Stewart, Plaza Suite, Star-Ledger,
July 2008
...DeVos
dug into music from his CDs, and other selections -- all presented with
panache. DeVos' solos emphasized
his strengths as an improviser. He played with a round, warm sound, where
all notes were heard clearly and had a sure-footed swing.

Carla
Lilien, Jazz Improv Magazine, Dec. 2005
The
virtuoso DeVos has so much to say. He has a lush and sensual style
that only he owns. DeVos' sensitivity and tenderness puts him in a
category of his own, reviewing An Organ Summit Supreme--Bob DeVos

Zan
Stewart, SPOTLIGHT, Star-Ledger, July 19, 2004
Joined
by his regular, powerhouse trio, DeVos came out cooking. This is a
compact, intuitive, empathetic band that delivers. Guitarist Bob DeVos
exemplifies what to look for in a mainstream jazz artist: an appealing
sound around a glowing center, an assured rhythmic bounce, a hearty swing,
a creative thinker who seeks the best notes for a given situation and
executes them seemingly without effort. He presents top-rate material in a
way that is both inventive and accessible.
